Flight & Sail ("we", "us", "the Service") is an independent price-comparison website operated by ShipHappensDeals. It combines publicly available flight prices with sailing-charter offers to show an indicative total trip cost. We are not a travel agency, tour operator or package-travel organiser.
1. Service Disclaimer & Package Travel
Flight & Sail is a comparison and information service only. We do not sell, organise, combine or assemble package holidays within the meaning of the EU Package Travel Directive (Directive (EU) 2015/2302) or its national implementations. We do not enter into a travel contract with you.
- Flights and boat charters are separate products sold by independent third parties (e.g. Travelpayouts/Aviasales for flights, Boataround for charters).
- Any booking is concluded directly between you and that third-party provider, under their terms and prices. We are not a party to that contract.
- We do not bundle, package or sell flights and charters together as a single product, and we charge you nothing.
- Prices shown are indicative estimates aggregated from third-party sources and may be out of date, incomplete or differ from the provider's final price. Always verify the actual price, availability and terms on the provider's website before booking.
- We accept no liability for the performance, quality, cancellation, insolvency or any other act or omission of the third-party providers.
2. Terms of Use
2.1 Use of the Service
You may use Flight & Sail free of charge to compare indicative trip costs. You agree not to scrape, overload, disrupt or misuse the Service or attempt to circumvent its technical limits.
2.2 No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that prices, availability, airport mappings, dates or any other data are accurate, complete or current. Search results are generated automatically and may contain errors.
2.3 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, from reliance on any price or information shown, or from any transaction you enter into with a third-party provider.
2.4 Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you book through them we may earn a commission from the provider. This does not change the price you pay and does not influence how results are ranked.
2.5 Intellectual property
The Flight & Sail name, design and original content are owned by us. Boat, destination and airline data and images belong to their respective owners and are used to point you to the original provider.
3. Privacy Policy
3.1 Controller
The data controller for this website is ShipHappensDeals. For any privacy request, contact privacy@shiphappensdeals.com.
3.2 What we collect
- No account, no tracking cookies, no advertising or analytics scripts. We do not profile you and do not set non-essential cookies, so no cookie-consent banner is required.
- Search inputs (origin, region, dates, guests) are processed in your browser to generate results. They may be reflected in the page URL so you can share or bookmark a search.
- Server logs: our hosting provider may record standard technical data (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and operation of the server. This is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in keeping the site secure and available.
- Fonts are served from our own server (self-hosted); no font data is requested from third-party CDNs.
3.3 Third parties
When you fetch live flight prices or click an outbound link, your request goes to the relevant third party (e.g. Travelpayouts/Aviasales, Boataround). Those providers process your data under their own privacy policies, over which we have no control.
3.4 Processors
Website hosting is provided by SpeedWeb (maggie.speedweb.sk), acting as our processor for server operation and logs.
3.5 Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because we hold no personal profile about you, requests will typically concern server-log data. Contact us at the address above.
3.6 Retention
Server logs are retained only as long as necessary for security and operational purposes and are then deleted or anonymised.
